Born in 1944, Mr. McQuain grew up in the agricultural area of southern Idaho. He attended and graduated from high school in Rupert, Idaho. He attended Colorado State University and graduated in 1966 with a BS in Business. From there Mr. McQuain attended the University of Kansas School of Law and graduated with a degree of Juris Doctor in 1969. Later, after having practiced law for eight years Mr. McQuain attended University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law where he earned the degree of Masters of Laws (Taxation). Mr. McQuain is presently an Adjunct Professor in the tax masters degree program at UMKC School of Law. He is licensed to practice in the state of Missouri and Kansas and is a member of the bar as well as admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of both states. After graduating from law school, Mr. McQuain spent two years in the tax department of the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen. From there, Mr. McQuain began the private practice of law. In 1977, he was the original founder of the present firm of McQuain DeHardt & Rosenbloom P.C. Mr. McQuain represents individuals and businesses in a variety of business transactions. The representation includes all matters of taxation, corporate choice and formation, merger and acquisitions, criminal tax defense, contract, construction matters, real property and most other business related transactions. Mr. McQuain presently sits on the Board of Directors of American Sterling Bank, Beyond Bounds, Inc. (a charitable organization) and is an Advisory Board member of UMKC Tax Advisory Board. He has spoken at numerous seminars and programs on issues of business and tax. Mr. McQuain is married and has five children. When not practicing law or spending time with family, Mr. McQuain spends his leisure time as an avid wood worker.
